WHAT IS INSIDE, PER PROJECT

ABOUT THAT ACRONYM

RAID does not have one agreed expansion. The traditional reading is risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies; a well-argued minority reads the A and D as actions and decisions. This pack ships the traditional four and gives decisions their own numbered log — because the whole value of a decision record is being able to cite it a year later, and a decision buried in a risk table cannot be cited.

RISKS YOU ACTUALLY SCORE

Probability and impact are separate columns, one to five, and the page carries a five-by-five grid you plot the risk numbers into. Mitigation and contingency are also separate columns: what you do to make it less likely is not what you do once it has happened, and a template with one box gets the second written in the margin.

RETROS THAT STAY BLAMELESS

Norm Kerth's prime directive is printed in full at the top of every retro page, not referenced. Below it: what went well, what did not, what surprised us — and an actions table with an owner and a date, because a retro with no owner is a feelings meeting.
